When I was asked this season to work with FatFace I jumped at the chance, FatFace has always been one of my go to brands and is there a better high street label for this time of year?? From the cosiest knitwear and P. J’s to classic dresses for a night out they really have you covered for the festive season, they even sell dungarees!!!
You might remember not so long ago I was debating whether Ugg boots are still acceptable to wear in public? well it turns out you all agree comfort is key! While on my search I came across FatFace's alternative to the Ugg which are the cosiest most tasteful version of the classic boot at a fraction of the cost!
For me while running around after the children I like to look fashionable but ultimately comfort is key, the super skinny fit jeans which I have in the dark blue and black are the perfect combination of quality with enough stretch to be comfortable all day you won't be racing home to put on your leggings! I've teamed them with both knitwear for day to day and dressed them up with my new favourite go to the Isla shirt dress for nights out! For me you can't go wrong with a good shirt dress (always buttoned to the top) either with black skinnies or tights depending on how chilly it is you'll always look smart and on trend, FatFace have quite a selection to choose from this season.
I'm sure I'm not alone with this one.... when Tiggy was born and we went out for our first baby free meal, I went to grab a clutch or even a stray shoulder bag from the bottom of the wardrobe and realised all I had was a vast range of changing bags! I now have the super soft Claire satchel bag which is real leather and the perfect size for me, you never know I might get to use it every day if I stop having babies....
But for now we're very much in amongst the baby stage, at nine months Tiggy still likes to be carried in her sling, which can be a hot business especially now she's getting bigger, never the less now the temperature has dropped I definitely need to wrap up! I've loved all the long Puffa style coats for a while now but when I've tried them I generally feel bundled up and claustrophobic if that's possible in a coat?
The Louisa long line is the perfect compromise for me it gives the look of a Puffa and is just the right amount of cosy without being too thick, it comes in both navy and black. I would say the fit is true to size although with coats I always say go a size up so that you can wear jumpers or like me small people underneath them!
My favourite piece this season must be from the knitwear range, I mean it's so vast and they do it seriously well! I have one of the beautiful Fairisle jumpers as a tasteful twist on a Christmas jumper, but my favourite must be the Harpenden I have it in two colour ways already but could easily have the whole range. It's textured knit and loose style makes it the perfect everyday knit, it's not even high maintenance on the washing front, which is perfect for me as I tend to shrink my favourite things.
This season the collection has a warm festive but chic feel to it and I think anyone would be thrilled to find a FatFace parcel under their tree this Christmas........
