As some of you will know I’ve been working with Very for some time now, and I’m still constantly surprised at just how many departments they cover. With it being September I think most people have back to school at the forefront of their minds, hell even if you don’t have children you know about it. In usual Martha form I start to think about what we need around four to five days before we need it, I don’t know whether it’s because we have four children now or whether it’s all the work happening at the house, but it always seems to be a last-minute rush.
Luckily whether its backpacks or football boots Very has me covered and with their super speedy delivery and one stop shop I’m sorted for affordable school necessities. It sounds ridiculous but If I have a list of online shopping to do I will keep browsing until I find all within one store because it’s just too inconvenient to put those details in more than once right???
With it being Dottie’s first year at big school I wanted everything to be just perfect for her, from the perfect unicorn rucksack to super soft pinafore dresses (jersey material genius) to my favourite knee high socks she was sorted and so smitten with her big girl uniform… and mummy just thinks she looks perfect and may have had a little tear at that first drop off!
With the little darlings (cough cough) back at school and starting the Autumn term it feels like summer is well and truly behind us and my mind has already started wandering towards colder weather and darker nights. As much as I love the Summer; Autumn and Winter has my heart when it comes to fashion.
This month I’ve picked up my first few Autumn wardrobe items, some staples like good jeans and some statement pieces like my new beloved my camo jacket. Which I think a lot of you guys love too, going on my Insta messages... but really is there anything better than a good coat especially finding it so early in the season I feel rather smug ticking it of in September.
It’s a jacket rather than your thick winter coat but I can’t bear to be bundled up in thick chunky fabrics I’d much rather layer up. With that in mind I sized up so that when the temperature drops I can fit some delightful knitwear underneath so I’m wearing a 12. For me being a full-time mum and juggling working for myself means generally I get to run around in my trainers, serious perk of working from home although I do wonder when or if I might ever smarten up.
I’ve had my eye on these burgundy New Balance for a while now and just knew they had to be my Autumn trainers just look at that colour. I may have got carried away with the warm Autumnal tones and gone in for a matching leather backpack from Accessorize that’s the fab thing about Very so many of my favourite brands all on one website keeping those deliveries limited to one place surely one package is better than five...the husbands will never know...
